This authentic Harry Potter replica broom is based on the Firebolt model given to Harry by Sirius Black in his third year of study. Truly a treasure for any Harry Potter fan, this full size broom replica is authentically modeled on the prop used in the films and features a wood handle, twig-like bristles and metal handles that mimic the goblin made iron work.
Fully hand-carved, this Cinereplicas Firebolt is a masterpiece. Hand-made in France by our skilled cabinet makers, it took two years of work for Cinereplicas team to make the first broom.
The handle has runic inscriptions. Each handle is hand carved and therefore each Firebolt models is unique since no wood base and no sculpture can 100% look same.
Each Firebolt comes with a certificate of authenticity, a wood stand and a metal plate numbered.
The Firebolt is undoubtedly the finest Harry Potter product ever made by Cinereplicas team.
Please Note: while this broom is fun to hold, it's a true and fragile collectible and not a toy. It may break if treated roughly.
"Malfoy! Wait till he sees you on this! He'll be sick as a pig! This is an international standard broom, this is!". Ron Weasley seeing Harry's Firebolt broomstick for the first time
The Firebolt is a world-class broomstick. It was the fastest at the time of its production, and was released in 1993. In time the Firebolt broomstick was used by the Bulgarian and Irish International Quidditch Teams. The teams played on Firebolts during the 1994 Quidditch World Cup. By 2014, the Firebolt had been superseded by the Firebolt Supreme, apparently manufactured by the same makers.
The Firebolt is a costly broom and Harry Potter was among the first to own one. It continues to be made in relatively small quantities, partly because the goblin workers involved in the patented ironwork are prone to strikes and walkouts at the smallest provocation.
In the book, in 1993 Harry Potter received a Firebolt racing broom as a Christmas present from an anonymous benefactor (Sirius Black, his godfather) following the destruction of his Nimbus 2000 in a Quidditch match against Hufflepuff. He used this broom in every Quidditch match he played in since, and also used it during the first task of the Triwizard Tournament. In 1997 Harry lost this broom during the Battle of the Seven Potters.
According to the books, Harry's Firebolt is described to have a 'perfectly smooth, streamlined birch twigs that made up the tail'. However, in the movies, it is more ragged and looks a bit more aged. Additionally, in the film the broomstick does not arrive until very near the story's end after Black's escape, whereas in the books it was a Christmas present.
