Some of these beasts get a full introduction and plenty of screen-time, while other creatures are only visible for a fleeting glimpse or hidden in the background of shorts.

They’re mischievous, dangerous, shy, friendly, and more than ready to cause havoc in Newt’s magical suitcase and in 1926 New York. We know Newt is far more comfortable with his creatures than he is with people. So, what are the fantastic beasts of Fantastic Beasts?

Here the list of the most famous fantastic beast creatures.

Niffler

Niffler les Animaux Fantastiques

Nifflers may look cute with their long, duck-like snout and black, fluffy fur but these little creatures are capable of wreaking havoc when let lose. They are attracted to anything shiny and have a pouch on their bellies where they store the treasures they pilfer. Though Nifflers are gentle and even affectionate, they can be destructive and should not be kept domestically.

Murtlap

Despite the unpleasant look, its tentacles, when pickled, can be made into healing solutions or consumed to promote resistance to curses and jinxes. A bite can cause adverse reactions, particularly for Muggles.

Newt had a special attachment to one Bowtruckle in particular who he had named Pickett.

Demiguise

The Demiguise is found in the Far East, though only with great difficulty, for this beast is able to make itself invisible when threatened and can be seen only by wizards skilled in its capture. It was the last creature that Newton managed to recapture after his case was opened in New York.

The Demiguise is a peaceful herbivorous beast, something like a graceful ape in appearance, with large, black, doleful eyes more often than not hidden by its hair. The whole body is covered with long, fine, silky, silvery hair. Demiguise pelts are highly valued as the hair may be spun into Invisibility Cloaks.
